To celebrate a decade of good music, Belgium based nu-disco label Eskimo Recordings run by Aeroplane is releasing a luxurious 5 cd box set by the name of Eskimonde. Filled with the best tracks on the label, the cd also features numerous unreleased remixes, such as Oliver’s take on We Can’t Fly by head honcho Aeroplane himself.
A couple of days ago, Eskimo Recordings released a preview of the Oliver remix of the label’s hit We Can’t Fly by Aeroplane. A massive remix of an already massive track. And where the original contains heavy reggae influences, Oliver have turned the track into a super slick disco monster with a nudge to artists like Justice or Breakbot.
Beginning of November, Eskimo will release ‘Eskimonde’, a luxurious 5CD box set. The two first cd’s are retrospective and select the very best from our extensive back catalogue. CD 3 includes 12 new and unreleased remixes from the likes of DJ Harvey, Solomun, Deetron, Moonlight Matters… Yes, that Oliver remix from We Can’t Fly is included too! To conclude in style, there are two bonus mixes from The Glimmers, including a few exclusives too. The box will also include a poster featuring a decade of Eskimo artwork.
